SNMM School of Nursing

Empowering Caregivers Since 1974

The Sree Narayana Medical Mission School of Nursing, established in 1974, stands as one of the region’s pioneering institutions for nursing education. Rooted in the core values of service, compassion, and excellence, the school began its journey with an intake of 40 Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) students, responding to the growing need for professionally trained nurses in the community.

In 1992, the school expanded its offerings by introducing the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course with an initial batch of 20 students, strengthening its commitment to producing skilled and ethical healthcare professionals.

A Legacy of Excellence in Nursing Education

The first principal, Mrs. Saraswathy Natarajan, was a trailblazer in her time. She brought academic rigor and professionalism to the institution, having earned her Nursing degree from the prestigious Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, New Delhi. Under her guidance, the foundation was laid for a culture of excellence that continues to thrive to this day.
